ELMHURST – Police are on the lookout for a male suspect in his early 20s after an armed robbery at a downtown gas station Tuesday.

According to a release from the Elmhurst Police Department, a black male wearing a green surgical mask, light gray hoodie, and dark gray pants showed a handgun while robbing the Clark gas station at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday at the corner of Addison and Second Street.

Police said the suspect took an undetermined amount of cash and fled south on foot. No one was injured in the incident.

A number of Elmhurst Police Department vehicles and personnel were on the scene early Tuesday evening, and a portion of the parking lot was cordoned off with police tape.
