ELMHURST – After a pair of open houses to share plans for proposed zoning changes and collect feedback, city officials are giving residents a chance to share their thoughts on the record.

A public hearing has been set for 7 p.m. today at City Hall to go over the proposals for the downtown area and collect public comments on the proposals. A report from city staff members was released this week that gives a summary of what the new proposed zones would entail; that report is viewable below.

“The Open House meetings were very successful,” said Than Werner, Planning & Zoning Administrator, in a news release from the city. “We had a good turnout and received constructive feedback from those who attended. We made an effort to incorporate their ideas and concerns into the revised recommendations.”
