ELMHURST – The education world is wild in recent years for STEM – science, technology, engineering and math.
But what about art?
That’s where Lincoln Elementary School’s STEaM Fest comes in. The event for kindergartners and first- and second-graders Thursday evening showed the artistic side of science as students learned that technical lessons can look cool, too.
Students rotated through the gym and various classrooms so that everyone got to check out a different experiment.
This year’s installment was the second occurrence, and it was organized by the Lincoln PTA in partnership with the Midwest Torrance Center for Creativity.
For a taste of what students experienced, check out the videos below.
Lincoln students in third through fifth grades will get to try their hands at artistic experiments when STEaM Fest continues on Feb. 23.
